IPAF training by UK Construction Training can be carried out at our training centre in London. Or, provided your premises or site has both an area for the practical training and an indoor room in which to carry out the theoretical elements of the course, we can also conduct the training at any location of your choice nationwide. A maximum of 4 delegates can attend a dual scissor / boom MEWP course and 6 persons for courses containing just one of the two disciplines.
IPAF accredited training gives successful delegates a 5 year competency certificate in the safe use and operation of an MEWP (mobile elevated work platform). The HSE have laid down guidelines for anyone working or using an MEWP. “People must not operate a MEWP unless they have been trained and authorised as competent or are undergoing formal training under close supervision. Training should be in accordance with a recognised scheme such as one run by the CITB or the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF)”.

And aside from the safety element, the training is worth the effort to arrange now for we are finding more and more companies asking us to provide training only after they have found themselves unable to work on site because their operatives did not already have the training.
THE COURSE
Most courses start between 8.00 and 9.00am and finish at approximately 3.00 – 3.30pm. This includes a break for lunch. Using a blend of classroom-based theory and hands-on experience, the course will ensure all delegates develop an awareness of the legal implications, common hazards and precautions, together with the correct driving, use, inspection, elevating and lowering procedures for MEWPs. A full agenda is also attached. Our UK wide network of instructors are all IPAF registered trainers.
COST
Price for the training includes IPAF registration, IPAF ID cards and all course notes and paperwork. The cost, per person, exclusive of VAT will be as follows:
