Half Day Confined Space Training
BASIC
Designed for personnel who are responsible for safe working practices and/or supervision of personnel entering confined spaces. The course can also be used as pre-training before attending the Confined Entry Course.
Confined Space Course (Awareness) Objective
The aim of this course is to provide all course candidates with an awareness of the legislation and hazards relating to confined space operations.
Provides candidates with:
- Awareness of Confined Space legislation
- Ability to recognise and identify a confined space
- Understanding of the hazards associated with confined spaces
- Awareness of Health & Hygiene aspects of the confined space environment
- Duration - 0.5 Day (4 Hours contact time)
- Confined Space Awareness Certificate
Certification
All persons who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate for Confined Space Awareness.

1 Day Confined Space Training
Designed for experienced confined space personnel who have been selected or require additional training to be come entry/task or site supervisors (Appointed/Authorised Persons).
Note: This course does not qualify personnel in the use of full breathing apparatus, but does include the Emergency Escape Breathing Apparatus.
Course Objective
Provides candidates with:
- An understanding of Confined Space legislation
- Recognition a confined space and classification
- Understanding of the hazards associated with confined spaces
- Ability to identify and use specialist equipment required for confined space entry
- Awareness of Health & Hygiene aspects of the confined space environment
- An understanding of the personalities and their duties regarding confined spaces procedures (SRP 06)
- Practical exercises using confined space equipment
- Confined space entry exercise
